Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:The Academic Advisor provides assistance with daily operations at the regional campus, recruits prospective students, assists students with admissions and enrollment processes, and serves in an academic advisory role.
- Serve as an academic advisor for prospective students to provide quality academic advising services, as well as accurate degree program curriculum planning.
- Serve as an academic advisor for students enrolled in the Integrated Studies program and all other regional campus and distance learning programs to provide quality advising and academic services.
- Implement and/or assist with various recruitment campaigns.
- Collaborate with the local community college partner staff to recruit and provide a seamless transition for new transfer students.
- Attend recruitment events and activities to promote enrollment growth.
- Assist students with admissions, enrollment, financial aid, scholarship information, provide guidance to students regarding other university related issues.
- Assist with maintaining social media posts for the regional campus.
- Assist with regional campus student organization activities.
- Assist with day-to-day operations.
- Assist with videoconferencing classroom activities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience working with the public.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Effective communication skills.
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Experience in and understanding of academic advising or mentoring students is preferred.
