What you'll do:
- Perform clerical accounting procedures requiring basic to intermediate experience with accounting practices under US GAAP while adhering to SOX internal controls.
- Act as a backup on accounts payable and billing processes.
- Assist Plant Controller with monthly accounting close tasks such as generating system reports and completing reconciliations.
- Act as a backup on inputting production and usage into ERP system from inventory control system.
- Assist Controller with inventory cycle counts and resolving count variances.
- Assist Operations in daily inventory control processes.
- Tracking operational data for continuous improvement.
- Interact with various departments to gather accounting data and assist in problem resolution.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files, filing, scanning documents, copying and processing paperwork.
We need you to have:
- Degree in Accounting, Business or related field of study or equivalent experience in an accounting role.
- 1 to 2 years accounting experience or related field preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong time management skills
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed to accommodate work fluctuations and deadlines.
- Experience using integrated ERP software such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, OnBase
- Experience using MS Office.
