POSITION: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/ACCOUNTING MANAGER

LOCATION: INDEPENDENCE, OH

INDUSTRY: MANUFACTURING

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to join a well established, global manufacturing company to sit in their Independence, OH location. This is a hybrid role of in-office and remote work. This person will be responsible for overseeing 1-2 direct reports, month end close, payroll, reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger, assisting with audits, budget and financial forecasting. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience, MUST have SAP experience and worked for a larger organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and month-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage external audits and resolve issues promptly.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards.
• Leverage SAP and other systems to streamline accounting processes.
• Drive continuous improvements in accounting accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in SAP and Excel; experience with BPC is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
