Accounts Payable Team Lead (nonprofit)

**Hybrid 2 days onsite, 3 days remote**

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all disbursement activities, including payments to vendors, consultants, grants, programs, and employee reimbursements.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable (AP) submissions, including verifying documentation, approval levels, and adherence to policies.
• Supervise the AP team (2 direct reports) to ensure consistent application of internal controls.
• Review AP documents for interim and annual audit, as well as the 990
• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and ensure policy compliance for over 100 cards.
• Oversee monthly close activities, including AP accruals, unreconciled credit card accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and internal controls within the AP function.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, with 4+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups; familiarity with financial systems such as MS Navision and Concur.
• Knowledge of payment processing systems and prepaid/accrual accounting practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to mission, with excellent interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of management.
