Departmental Information:

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures (MCLL) at Christopher Newport University is composed of a team of 20 scholar-teachers who are committed to undergraduate education and to professional growth. The Department offers instruction in ancient Greek, Latin, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish as well as courses in English on the ancient (and modern) worlds. Our programs include five majors, four interdisciplinary minors, and MAT degrees in Spanish and ESL.
