RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a professional services firm in Spring Lake, NJ is seeking an Administrative Assistant. This firm offers good benefits and pays time & half OT over 40 hours.Responsibilities Include:
  • The Administrative Assistant will answer all incoming calls and transfer calls to appropriate staff and to our other offices
  • Welcome clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Order office supplies as necessary and keep inventory of office
  • Open and process all incoming and outgoing mail (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.)
  • Schedule appointments for Partners and help make travel arrangements as needed
  • Scanning, faxing, and filing as needed
  • Maintain office equipment and request machines to be serviced by vendor as needed
  • Scan, fax, and file incoming and outgoing tax information as required
  • As an Administrative Assistant, you will prepare office bulk and non-bulk engagement letters
  • Tax return processing: Prepare tax folder, mailing, Print/PDF, CD or USB copies of tax returns and contact clients as needed
  • E-file: extensions and tax returns
  • Assist clients with signing required documentation at tax return pickup
  • XCM Management until client is in -complete- status
  • Assist with light bookkeeping and QuickBooks posting as needed


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of administrative assistant experience in a public accounting firm
  • Tax processing experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Outlook and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred but not required
  • Experience with tax preparation such as CCH Axcess, XCM a plus


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
