Unit Mission Statement:The Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs (OUAA) supports students' academic accomplishments across the undergraduate experience from matriculation to postgraduation fellowships. The OUAA organizes and trains faculty serving as pre-major advisors and serves as the office housing the university's professional academic advisors. The work of the OUAA also prepares undergraduates to apply for prestigious domestic and international fellowships and convenes the faculty committee that serves nominated fellowship students.
Position Summary:William & Mary's Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs (OUAA) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant whose efforts will support the administrative needs of the department to include staff, faculty advisors, and students. This position will provide dedicated administrative support for fellowships and pre-med advising activities which are central to the OUAA's student engagement initiatives.
Primary responsibilities include:
Occasional evening and weekend work required, i.e., during open house, home coming, lectures, special events, etc.
This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
