POSITION SUMMARY
The Admissions Counselor is responsible for ensuring that the Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals while following integrity guidelines and procedures. The Admissions Counselor also conducts assessments and career counseling, maintains high-quality supervision of the student population, and collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance program services.
- Conduct comprehensive screening procedures to determine applicants' eligibility and suitability for the Job Corps Program
- Secure and evaluate applicants' behavioral, medical, and educational records
- Deny applicant enrollment and refer applicants to other educational resources as necessary
- Conduct thorough assessment activities and career counseling during the admissions process
- Serve as a liaison to Center staff to facilitate a seamless enrollment process and early student retention
- Work closely with community agencies, employment services, high schools, and trade schools to inform prospective applicants about the Job Corps program
- Conduct Center tours, pre-arrival visits, and Parent meetings
- Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards
- Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH).
- Provide high-quality supervision and management for the student population

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications or closely related field and two years related experience required. Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field preferred. Experience may include successful Job Corps enrollment or successful enrollment in other youth development programs. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements
