Position Overview
In this role, you'll perform various tasks to coordinating all aspects of asphalt production.

Wage: Starting at $24+ /hr. DOE w/ potential for overtime

Key Responsibilities - Daily operations of a hot plant include but not limited to operating plant to fulfill daily/job orders, order scheduling, raw material inventory, and ordering, plant maintenance, etc.
- Maintain accurate time and materials records.
- Maintenance activities include but not limited to welding, torching, machine lubrication, plant-specific component maintenance, etc.
- Occasional operating equipment in a safe manner to support daily hot plant activities which includes but not limited to front end loader, skid steer, etc.
- Perform labor activities involved with maintaining the hot plant appearance and area around the hot plant as needed.
- Participate in creating a safe work environment, achieve safety goals, implement company safety programs and comply with OSHA/MSHA/Company standards.
- Reflect a professional appearance and attitude with all work-related activities. Encourage professional attitudes and appearances with all employees. Maintain positive professional relationships with all customers and employees.
- Maintain asphalt plant operations to ensure timely production of asphalt.
- Verify specified asphalt mix and enter correct mix design into computer. Monitor gauges, dials and operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.
- Coordinate production and loading of all asphalt leaving the plant.
- Communicate and receive directions from dispatch, drivers, operators and customers via radio or phone.
- Service and grease plant parts, i.e. change belts, grease bearings, and maintain cleanliness of the plant.
- Order and maintain inventory of plant parts, grease, asphalt oil, etc.
- Direct general operations of loader operator.
- Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production.
- Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Regular and timely attendance.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications - Must be able to positively lead, manage and influence a team of individuals.
- Basic computer skills.
- Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality.
- Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
- Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
- Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
- Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications - Mechanical skills including knowledge of machines, tools, equipment, mechanic's hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, lubricating tools, hoists, cranes, service trucks, electrical testing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Previous asphalt production and/or plant operation related experience preferred.
- Welding/fabrication experience preferred.

- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Primarily work 10-16 hours per day 5-7 days per week during the peak season, occasional night work.

- The employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, squat, crouch or climb. And reach with arms above shoulder height or below knee height.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
