The faculty member will teach undergraduate Psychology courses and graduate courses in Counseling and Psychology. Additional responsibilities include student academic advising; engaging in university, department, and community committees and other service; and conducting research and scholarship activities. This is a tenure-track position. Summer appointment is not guaranteed and is contingent upon university need.
Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate Psychology courses and/or graduate courses in Counseling and Psychology, including online and hybrid courses (12 workload credits per semester; 3 workload credits for each undergraduate course taught and 4 workload credits for each graduate course taught).
Additional responsibilities include student academic advising; engaging in university, department, and community committees and other service; and conducting research and scholarship activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate approved by the University and recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as appropriate to the area of Psychology;
Ability in the discipline and clear promise of teaching excellence as evidenced in evaluation by peers, department head, and college dean;
A record of scholarly activity beyond that required for completion of the terminal degree.
A strong record of scholarly activity in high quality peer-reviewed scholarly journals and conferences.
Must possess the minimum credential standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), which include at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the subject area or suitable approved justifications.
Graduate training in one or more of the following areas: quantitative data analysis, research methods, assessment of individual differences.
Salary: Commensurate
Hours: Faculty hours; M-F; hours may vary by course schedule
Work Location: This is not a fully remote position and selected candidate will be required to work on campus dependent on course assignment.
