Description:
Large Food Manufacturing company is looking for an Associate Project Engineer. This position is remote, but does require 80% travel to various plants.

***Looking for someone to be based on the East Coast as most of their facilities are there

***Must have AutoCAD experience in manufacturing environment.

This role is going to travel to all the plants and document current state. And, then modify as needed.

Summary ~

We are recruiting for an Associate Project Engineer in a manufacturing/production setting. This role is responsible for creating technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) and support the development and execution of capital projects.

Responsibilities ~

• Support Engineering Team and Plant Operations by providing computer aided designs and drawings for equipment/material/workflow/processes for all plants.
• Experience with P&ID and GA layouts
• Analyze schematics/blueprints and compare the specifications to the draft, to ensure accuracy and compliance with company regulations and quality standards.
• Attend project meetings and review projects and drawings as needed. Assist in the selection of engineering materials and equipment.
• Develop and Maintain Technical Documentation system

• Working with Project Manager/Sr. Plant Engineer, provide technical leadership and support to develop and execute capital projects. Responsibility includes facility / equipment / production systems maintenance, environmental, plant energy utilization, Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), local capital planning and deployment, and management of capital projects.

Requirements ~

BS degree (in Engineering or architecture)

5+ years of related experience:

• Knowledge of engineering design principals.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to conceptualize design
• Must be able to travel to remote facilities and/or offices for meetings.
• Frequent plant and project site visits are required; travel is extensive.
• Experience in FOOD Manufacturing is required.

Physical Requirements ~

Position is active. Work activity is on the project and plant sites. On the floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine.

May need to move equipment occasionally.

May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

Work activity is where the processing equipment is located.
