As an Associate Program Manage (APM), you will participate in Program Manager (PM) training program to develop your knowledge and skills on Envita's purpose and processes to deliver total waste management (TWM) services to our clients. Through training, you will obtain an understanding of what it means to build trusted relationships, provide excellent customer experience, and drive significant organic growth and profitability. Building upon your knowledge and creativity to deliver innovative byproduct waste programs including recycling, reuse and waste minimization for clients, this partnership is a differentiator for Envita. You will have the opportunity to learn to identify and solve our clients TWM challenges and lead by Envita's values. This PM training program is based out of our headquarters in Indianapolis, IN and is a hybrid position with requirements to travel to our onsite customer locations as necessary.This Associate Program Manager training program is expected to be completed within 3 months. Upon completion of the program, APM will be eligible to be assigned to an Operational team and a normal progression of moving into the role of Program Manager. At that time, PM will be assigned a portfolio account to manage.

Essential Functions

  • Learn to manage relationships across multiple teams and departments, including suppliers, and internal resources.
  • Training and guidance on the importance of building and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Participate PM structured training modules led by Operations Development and key functional partners.
  • Build a skill set by working with and shadowing current PMs. This includes, but not limited to, attending client meetings, joining in on conference calls, and take part in onsite client activities.
  • Assist in conducting discovery with Program Manager teams to identify business needs as it pertains to TWM (total waste management). Will develop skills to recognize opportunities to that bring value to the organization.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional team members to resolve customer issues and ensure the integrity of the customer experience exceeds expectations.
  • Develop understanding of coordination with external suppliers and internal resources to ensure optimum service.
  • Train to review and ensure monthly client invoices are processed on time and accurate.
  • Build up understanding of processes and standards to meet or exceed accounts receivable (A/R) targets.
  • Gain understanding to analyze and interpret operational data such as performance metrics and historical trends through Envita business system reporting.
  • Build up understanding of customer portfolio and provide input on annual budgets for clients.
  • Learn the importance of contract negotiation and deliverables with suppliers.
  • Will learn to grow client revenue organically through ability to identify opportunities and gaps in TWM processes that solve big problems for our clients.
  • Present new ideas and solutions to secure account penetration and loyalty. Maximize profit goals and, contract compliance.
  • Expect business travel 25-40%, or as needed.
Education Qualifications
  • Required High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Sustainability, Business, Communications, or related field.
Experience Qualifications
  • Preferred 1+ years Customer support and/or facing service industry. (Environmental background beneficial.)
Skills and Abilities
  • Insight of account management responsibilities and importance of building trusted relationships with integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and functions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of an organization, both externally and internally.
  • Effective organizational skills needed with the ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks productively.
  • Proven time management skills, experience with deadline driven responsibilities.
  • Must be able to navigate Microsoft Office systems at a minimum intermediate level with emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred.
  • Foundational analytical skills, including the ability to gather and analyze data, develop solutions and evaluate, and report results.
  • Willingness to deliver presentations and/or communicate to influence, through use of interpersonal style and communication methods, to facilitate an acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, or product from targeted customers.
