Automation Engineer / Architect

Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN
Salary: $65.00 USD Hourly - $75.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently looking for an Automation Architect to join their Quality Assurance Center of Excellence. This role will provide direct support to their current automation environment by scaling their current solutions and creating new solutions to enhance their products.

NOTE: While this position allows for 100% remote work, we are only considering candidates local to the Minneapolis area at this time.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Support and maintain a comprehensive Quality Assurance Engineering (QAE) strategy.
• Oversee the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Drive strategy around Test Data Management (TDM) solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of QAE processes.
• Develop, maintain and enhance automation frameworks related to Selenium, Appium and Tosca
• Support UiPath based Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations
• Lead and mentor quality engineers, providing guidance and support in the form of code reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QAE processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Support shift left strategy for testing methodologies (API, Database, Unit Testing).
• Implementation and evolution of CI/CD.
• Work with cloud-based technology and infrastructure (Azure and AWS).
• Drive process improvement in SAP around test automation.
• Define coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Automation experience (specifically Selenium with C# and MSTest V2 preferred)
• API testing
• Backend / Database testing
• Architecture (both automation and solution architecture) - this is more of an architect level role, designing and building frameworks NOT hands on
• Someone who is up to date on the latest technologies
• They currently haven an advanced framework, and this person needs to be able to scale that framework and build out new capabilities
• Ability to address road blocks, evaluate the problem, create a solution, and roll that out to the team.

Plusses:

• AI / ML implementations or strategies for testing
• SAP (does not need hands on experience but has worked with those solutions)
