Experience with the following:

  • Collaboration across operating units
  • Deal negotiation
  • Data systems
  • Process improvement
Skill in:
  • Conceptualizing and anticipating issues while applying critical thinking to solve problems.
  • Performing financial analysis; to include budgets, variants analysis and survey results.
  • Reviewing contractual and legal documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to represent the university in public and private forums.
Ability to:
  • Interpret policies, procedures, legal information, RFP's, proposals, and publications.
  • Prepare proposals, studies, and contracts.
  • Conduct research to obtain information on proposed endeavors and business operations.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, Real Estate.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Real Estate licensure.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or a related process improvement framework would be an asset.
Job Description:

We're on the hunt for an energetic, innovative, and ambitious Business Project Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will spearhead crucial business projects, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently. If you're a dynamic professional with the desire to learn, a knack for collaboration, and a passion for process improvement, this is a great opportunity.

Job Duties:

  • Dive into researching potential business transactions and offer actionable recommendations to our leadership team.
  • Take the lead in implementing complex business deals, transactions, and contracts that align with our strategic goals.
  • Oversee leases and rentals of university property, ensuring optimal use and management.
  • Represent TXST with excellence in all communications, both public and private.
  • Develop, update, and refine university policies and procedures keeping us at the forefront of best practices.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve our operations.
  • Direct and develop major contractual agreements that support our strategic initiatives.
  • Take on other duties and special projects as assigned, bringing your innovative ideas to life.
