Responsibilities

Provides highly skilled work performing carpentry tasks in the construction, alteration or repair of residential homes and commercial buildings. Oversees remodeling jobs.

• Performs semi-skilled carpentry work in the construction, alteration and/or repair of residential and commercial buildings.

• Remodels areas as needed to accommodate equipment specifications or installation of equipment.

• Repairs cuts to drywall by taping replacement, coating and resurfacing area.

• Paints all areas as appropriate and remounts objects that were moved for the repair.

• Repairs and installs stucco surfaces to match existing texture by applying finish, performing trowel strokes and painting dried surface.

• May coordinate inspections of jobs.

Qualifications

A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred with at least two (2) years of experience as an apprentice in the carpentry trade. Requires 3-5 years of skilled carpentry experience in addition to training. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. A valid driver's license is required.
