Description: Our client is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in SC.

The Occupational Medical Assistant performs a combination of clerical and clinical tasks that help maintain organization and keep the plant facility running efficiently with little to no medical issues.

Hours: Monday- Friday 3pm- 12am with a one-hour lunch from 7:00-8:00pm (flexibility to work OT as needed and work Saturday shifts if manufacturing plant is running)

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

• Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history

• Conduct pre-employment health screenings and assessments for new hires

• Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining patient files

• Recording patients' vital signs, documenting notes and changes in medical conditions

• Skill in identifying medical equipment problems and correcting or notifying the Plant Nurse.

• Managing medical office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting for 2 years, preferably in occupational health or a related field.

• Applicant must have a Certified Medical Assistant certification

• Must be current with first aid/ CPR training.•
