The Judge Group is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant in Minneapolis, MN

Pay: Highly Competitive

1.Under the direction of a provider or registered nurse, instruct patients on basic information regarding examinations, special tests, procedures, or home/self-care. Provides health information that is routine and standardized. Recognizes and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
2.Collects and reports patient health data.

3.Administers immunizations and medications by any route except intravenous

4.Performs set-up and assists physician with diagnostic, therapeutic, or surgical procedures within the scope of practice. Collects and processes lab specimens, (i.e. Finger sticks, venipunctures, urine and throat cultures).

5.May perform various business office or ancillary services procedures related to the basic care of patients, i.e.: collect co-pays.

6.Acts as liaison between the patient/family and the provider, hospital, medical staff, or outside agencies involved with patient care.

7.Documents observations, actions, and patient outcomes per established policies and procedures. 8.Participates in quality improvement and outcome study activities, departmental in-services and workshops, and other educational opportunities that will improve patient care
