About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Quality Liaison to join our team. This role focuses on improving the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation to reflect the high-quality care delivered across our system. Reporting to the Senior Director of CDI, you will lead initiatives to enhance documentation related to quality indicators, Patient Safety Indicators (PSIs), Hospital Acquired Conditions (HACs), and other metrics critical to our quality reporting and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct CDI mortality reviews and develop strategies to ensure accurate documentation of quality indicators (e.g., Elixhauser, Vizient comorbidities).
- Lead and implement pre-bill reconciliation processes to support quality reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with Coding and Quality teams to identify and address documentation improvement opportunities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on quality indicators, regulatory programs, and reporting metrics.
- Educate and train clinical and non-clinical staff on CDI-related quality initiatives.
- Analyze and report on CDI-related quality initiatives to inform improvement strategies.
- Issue compliant provider queries to address gaps in documentation and improve reporting accuracy.
- Maintain professional competency by staying updated on clinical advancements, coding guidelines, and quality standards.
Qualifications Qualifications

Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license required.

Experience:
- At least 3 years in clinical documentation improvement is required.
- Minimum of 5 years in acute medical/surgical care nursing.
- Academic Medical Center experience preferred.

Certifications: Clinical Documentation certification preferred.
