Job OverviewAs one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The University of Cincinnati Cancer Center is looking for a Clinical Research Project Manager. This position is responsible for complex trial preparation and early implementation within the hematologic malignancies program.Essential Functions
  • Coordinate with CTO teams and UC stakeholders to ensure the smooth initiation of multi-center clinical trials in hematologic malignancies.
  • Participate in development/management of study protocols, inclusive of investigator-initiated protocol draft review and biosafety submissions and review process as applicable.
  • Develop/modify study-specific guidance documents for hematology research team and health system use (SOPs, checklists, EPIC tools, CRFs).
  • Conduct implementation meetings prior to study start.
  • Develop hematologic disease-specific and protocol education materials for staff.
  • Contribute to initial Beacon build development prior to time of SIV in accordance with current workflow.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Education

Bachelor's degree required, ideally in related discipline or equivalent education/experience.

Required Experience

5-10 years of directly relevant experience, ideally in an academic or clinical setting. Prior experience in project management and/or directorship ideal as well as regulatory, CRA, or human subjects experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Master's or equivalent degree is ideal.
  • Prior experience with hematologic malignancy clinical trials, inclusive of complex early phase studies is ideal.
  • Prior experience with cellular therapy ideal.
  • Ability to assist with the coordination of research studies in a particular discipline.
  • Ability to make independent contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with study and clinical teams in a professional manner.
  • Can accomplish work under general direction.
  • Capable of advising and explaining information to others.
  • Ability to manage complex projects.
