Our client is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst in Remote opportunity.

Role Description

The Cloud Analyst will provide support for an enterprise-wide initiative focused on discovering and securing all cloud-based services used across the organisation. The Analyst will support this effort by assessing several different cloud services and technologies, performing analysis on the data that is discovered, providing opportunities for optimization, and ensuring vendor cloud services are adhering to security policies. Position is for 6 months with a possibility of extension.

Skills & Requirements

• Basic knowledge and understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle
• Basic understanding of network security devices such as firewalls, and data connectivity
• Proficient in cloud computing concepts and services
• Knowledge of and experience using data analysis methods (collecting, processing, and analyzing data)
• Familiarity with cloud security standards and policies
• Great collaboration and teamwork skills
• Able to bring creative and innovative ideas to explore new possibilities and opportunities
• Knowledge in adopting or creating automation
• Proficient in cloud research.
• cloud experience (any cloud is fine, they mostly use azure)
• understand how to identify Iaas, PaaS & SaaS (how do they differ and what is required for each?)
• experience analyzing cloud tools (are they secure, is it paid for, do we need to be scanning it, should there be logging, assessments?)
• the work for this project is to understand their cloud footprint and how big the landscape is
• soft skills: not afraid to speak up and work with senior leadership. will be interacting with a lot of different teams in the business, need good comm skills
• servicenow experience and CASB understanding is a big bonus.
