Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination, planning, and delivery of student services for the Williamson County campus.

Essential Functions:

1. Coordinate and assist with the delivery of student services to the Williamson County campus.

2. Coordinate and promote student engagement, programs and activities.

3. Provide academic advising for current and prospective students including virtual events and in person.

4. Assist the Director of Student Support Services with front line enrollment services, specifically in the areas of admissions, registration, testing and financial aid.

5. Assist with orientation and registration events.

6. Assist with campus tours and on-campus recruitment activities.

7. Effectively, communicate through email and phone with students, parents, and college partners as a first point of contact for the College.

Supplemental Functions:

1. Support all enrollment management activities.

2. Serve on college committees.

3. Supervise student workers.

4. Transact payments for tuition and fees as needed.

Job Specifications Education, Training and Experience Required:

1. Bachelor's degree preferably in education or related field.

2. Minimum 1 year of experience working with students in an educational environment.

Training and Experience Preferred:

1. Master's degree in education.

2. Three years or more experience in higher education in areas of admissions, records, financial aid, academic advising, counseling or recruiting.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics:

1. Knowledge of active listening and general counseling techniques.

2. Ability to provide effective individual and group student services counseling.

3. Ability to establish, coordinate and implement independent management decisions.

4. Knowledge of admissions, financial aid, and records functions.

5. Ability to effectively use information technology including Microsoft Office and related applications.

6. Ability to interact with students and co-workers in a professional manner.

7. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to support the goals of the student services department.

8. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner.

9. Knowledge of student databases.

10. Customer service skills in communications and problem solving.

Working Conditions:

1. Regular work schedule is 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Evening and weekend hours will be required on a rotating basis.

2. Visual and hand usage of computer terminal.

3. May require travel to other campus locations

4. Normal sitting and movement in an office environment.

Hiring Salary Range: $39,590- $49,480

This position is based at the Franklin, TN Campus.
