Basic Job Functions:

• PM tasks and routine crane maintenance
• Inspection and monitoring machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair power transfer mechanisms such as couplings, gear boxes, belts, and sheaves
  
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment such as motors, contactors and VFDs
  
• Basic fabrication including cutting, grinding, welding, and conduit installation.
  
  

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrate willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, and weekends.
• 2 year degree or 4 year applicable experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with power transmission and machine assembly
• Experience with lubrication and bearing applications
• Understanding of advanced electrical principles to include networking, PLCs, and VFDs.
