RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Bothell, WA that is seeking a Data Center Critical Facilities Technician.Responsibilities:
  • Data Center Critical Facilities Technician will monitor performance of maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center
  • Take daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.); Ability to follow operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities
  • Energize a cabinet in a Colo
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) preventative maintenance quarterly and annually; System control panel preventative maintenance; Battery preventative maintenance; Assist in the troubleshooting, repair and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration; Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work and comply with all physical security procedures and policies
Shift:
  • Night shift 6pm-6am PST, 12-hour shift
  • Sunday-Tuesday with every other Wednesday


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification prior to starting at the data center - can be completed during onboarding
  • 3+ year(s) of work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, and data center)
  • Experience with electrical systems in high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields
  • Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code
  • Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Previous datacenter experience a plus
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5-day work weeks


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
