This is a Hybrid Role - Work from Home Monday and Friday, and travel through the NJ market Tuesday through Thursday.

Director of Operations - Vision Group

Job Summary: The Director of Operations is responsible for providing leadership, management support, and oversight to multisite clinical operations staff throughout the New Jersey Region. The primary goal is to facilitate efficient and cost-effective operations of practice locations while ensuring exceptional patient and provider satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Director of Operations collaborates with practice managers and other Directors of Operations to achieve strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Role & Responsibilities:

Mission Alignment:

Disseminate and reinforce the organization's Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals across all practice locations.

Ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Performance Metrics & KPIs:

Review, analyze, and manage practice performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Utilize daily and monthly operational dashboards and financial reports to achieve strategic goals.

Monitor patient, provider, and employee satisfaction data.

Staff Management:

Collaborate with HR partners to:

Recruit, hire, train, and retain divisional staff members.

Identify growth opportunities and execute development plans.

Implement succession planning for key team members.

Budget Planning & Execution:

Participate in annual and quarterly Budget Operating Planning.

Review progress through monthly updates, variance analysis, and management reviews.

Practice Operations Oversight:

Work closely with Office Managers to:

Manage daily operations of divisional practices.

Optimize patient access, scheduling, financial planning, and revenue cycle.

Coordinate credentialing, provider relations, MIPS reporting, and optical services.

Resolve patient grievances as needed.

Staff Scheduling & Satisfaction:

Supervise the development and administration of physician and staff schedules.

Ensure high patient satisfaction through efficient scheduling and service delivery.

Training & Compliance:

Assist Office Managers in PSR & Technician communications and delivery training.

Collaborate with RCM partners to implement best practices related to insurance verification, preauthorization, claim filing, and reimbursement.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, AAAHC, and other healthcare regulations.

Stay informed about changing labor laws (Paid Family Medical Leave, MA Equal Pay Law, ADA, etc.).

Coding & Compliance:

Maintain knowledge of ophthalmic ICD-10, Medicare, HCPCS, third-party payor, and CPT coding.

Review and ensure compliance with MIPS/MACRA requirements.

Maintenance & Facilities:

Coordinate maintenance and facilities management for practice locations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).

Proven experience in healthcare retail or similar settings.

Familiarity with partnership models and multi-unit responsibilities.

Track record of managing teams and achieving revenue targets.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
