Job Description

The Director of Operations reports to the VP of Student Operations and will oversee the MedCerts Student Success and Partner Support operations teams. The Director of Operations will provide support to the Operations Manager and work with the other leaders of Student Operations to prioritize and execute key initiatives and projects that leads to increased completion, certification, clinicals, employment, and student satisfaction. This position is responsible for ensuring appropriate processes and workflows are documented and initiated to help drive student outcomes.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify operational efficiencies as it relates to student operations and partner support operations.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of course materials and laptop orders through proper workflows and eliminating unnecessary expenditures.
  • Participate in the development of student operations department strategy and planning; translate strategy into tactical execution and operational implementation.
  • Own and maintain the working relationships and continuous operational improvements with certification bodies.
  • Ensure proper tracking of certification vouchers and exam attempts to report up to Accounting.
  • Provide oversight to the Operations team to ensure Certification Pathways and workflows are updated quarterly and properly documented and maintained.
  • Provide leadership for the Operations Manager and Parter Support team to deliver results through effective training, coaching and development.
  • Manage team performance, which includes delivering consistent quality feedback, providing reinforcement and recognition when appropriate, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Develop key performance indicators by role that will lead to key outcomes within the Operations team.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and ensure proper use of all systems, tools and resources by the operations team.
  • Focus on achieving Partner Satisfaction through the creation of tools and resources to measure satisfaction rate.
  • Assist the Student Operations leaders to ensure proper documentation of standard operation procedures and workflows that help drive student outcomes.
  • Create a systematic workflow and proper oversight of the Knowledge Base and maintaining up to date and accurate resources within the knowledgebase.
  • Provide ongoing reporting and analytics on the Knowledgebase.
  • Work closely with the IT Department to identify operational efficiencies and improvements through automation.
  • Ensure quality hiring practices and develop high performing teams.
  • Recognize talent and develop team members for potential advancement.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to achieve optimal operational outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to manage projects across departments to ensure deadlines are hit
  • Ability to lead and develop high performing teams
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with limited guidance

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is an office-based position in which work will be completed during normal business hours (approximately 8:30am - 5:00pm) with flexible evening schedule opportunity.
