RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring the workplace meets local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Creating, implementing, and updating health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conducting training sessions for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Identifying potential hazards in the workplace and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Investigating accidents, incidents, or near misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyzing EHS data to track trends, identify areas for improvement, and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
- Developing and implementing emergency response plans for various workplace scenarios.
- Working with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal in compliance with regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Job Qualifications: - Minimum 2-4, years of experience in EHS field.
- 1 year of exp in EHS Coordinator field.
- Leadership skills
- Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to health, safety, and environmental compliance is essential. Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, emergency response, and safety training methodologies is also important.
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at various levels within an organization is often necessary
- Root cause and regulatory analysis courses
- Availability to travel at least once a year.
- MicroSoft Office
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS - OSHA 30 certified preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
