About the Position

Pond is seeking an experienced Electrical Transmission and Substation Engineer to join our growing Energy team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience and a passion for growth and collaboration. In this role, you will support the Power Services program, delivering projects for clients across the United States, offering opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills in transmission and substation design. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of substation equipment, assisting in selection and specification
• Design electric transmission and substation projects, including layouts, electrical design, and routing for voltages from LV to EHV
• Create drawings for transmission line and substation construction
• Perform electrical calculations for substation and transmission system design
• Coordinate with internal project managers and disciplines to ensure project success
• Prepare engineering deliverables, including contract documents and studies
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements
• Assist with equipment specifications, bid evaluations, and procurement
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Travel to client sites and industry conferences as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or on the path to obtain PE
• 5+ years of experience in transmission and substation design
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and design software

Additional Information

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Electrical Engineer II - Energy with a salary range of $65,600.00 - $159,800.00 .
