While the position is part of the Executive Recruiting Team in IU Human Resources, it works directly with the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs (VPFAA) in support of faculty hiring initiatives.

Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the IUHR F100 team, school/departmental faculty and staff, and search committee members to ensure seamless communication and support for candidates throughout their on-campus visits.
- Serves as the primary staff host, facilitating on-campus visits for all F100 candidates by:
- Ensuring candidates have transportation to and from Bloomington
- Hosting candidates during their campus visits, including accompanying them between meetings and ensuring meetings run on schedule
- Facilitates payment for meals during candidates' visits, either by reimbursing hosting faculty or attending meals to handle payment directly.
- Collaborates with school/department IT support to manage candidate presentations, including setting up webinar Zoom spaces as needed.
- Works with the IMU Biddle Hotel staff to ensure welcome basket materials are prepared and placed in candidates' rooms before their arrival.
- Utilizes multiple IU systems to ensure compliance with established procedures.
General Responsibilities
- Coordinates, processes, verifies, and maintains HR related work, which may include but not limited to:
- recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, performance evaluations, classifications, I-9s and employee leaves of absences.
- Researches and analyzes HR related topics to help assist in resolving issues and/or creating solutions.
- Creates, compiles, prepares, and analyzes reports and documents for HR related activities.
- Performs and may coordinate data entry for processing transactions and maintaining and keeping information current for candidates, employees and/or retirees on a variety of HR issues.
- Provides administrative and related support to other HR staff.
- Supports and maintains HR programs and events; maintains up-to-date records of actions, decisions, and time frames.
- Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and documents.
QualificationsCombinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 3 years of HR related experience
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATES
Required- Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary$45,000 - $48,000 annually based on experience
Work HoursSome weekends and outside of normal business hours may be required
