Summary of Role:
GLOBALFOUNDRIES is seeking an experienced TCAD Engineer to strengthen our team in Malta, NY.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide TCAD support on FinFET, SOI and bulk technology architectures encompassing semiconductor devices such as MOSFETs, BJTs, Diodes, NVM cells, during various phases of technology development. You will be directly responsible for the TCAD activity on several devices.
  
• Apply commercial simulation software to mimic semiconductor front end of line process flows and project the electrical performance to highlight the areas of concern and of potential improvement. This includes, but is not limited to, technology and ground rule definition, pathfinding for a new device, performance step-up for an existing device, calibration to measurement data.
  
• Partner closely with Device, Integration, Design teams and identify simulations that highlight critical process interactions and ultimately drive optimal technology decisions. Work closely with local and global teams and participate in regular program review meetings, working meetings, task forces, etc, where you will regularly present your work.
  

Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security requirements and programs.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline plus at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  
• Solid understanding of semiconductor processes and integration techniques.
  
• Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics.
  
• Good Linux skills
  
• Ability to clearly present results to small and large groups.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline
  
• More than 5 years of experience in solid semiconductor TCAD or Modeling experience in either process or device-related topics with Silicon Photonics 45SPCLO
  

Expected Salary Range
$77,000.00 - $142,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
