Job Details:

Schedule: 1st shift

Starting pay: $20.00/hr

This position is responsible for receiving orders, recording material, scheduling feed delivery, and dispatching trucks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to policies and procedures.

• Ability to read and write in order to receive and document orders.

• Ability to schedule loads of feed by creating and organizing feed tickets and maintaining them for record keeping.

• Ability to dispatch loads of feed and distribute them evenly among driver/team members within DOT rules and regulations.

• Ability to answer calls from Service Techs and Growers while maintaining a good working relationship with them.

• Ability to organize/flex task and change priorities throughout the day.

• Ability to maintain accurate records of feed orders, feed deliveries, and ingredient usage.

• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.

• Ability to quickly identify and remedy problems or discrepancies with feed orders or deliveries.

• Ability to communicate schedules with all vendors in a timely manner.

• Ability to continuously seek ways to improve processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.

• Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.

• Complete all other tasks assigned by management.

• Ability to enter and analyze data.

• Other duties as assigned to Live Operations pertaining to loadout and chick haul.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, within safety guidelines

• Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication skills with excellent attention to detail

• Highly motivated self-starter; eager to initiate new ideas.

• Organizational skills

• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements / Environment:

• Stand/Walk: Continuously

• Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs.), Occasionally (up to 35-50 lbs.)

• Other Physical Requirements:

o Occasionally, bend/stop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder (up to 2 ft.), crouch, kneel, push/pull, work around moving machinery in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes.

This facility accepts rehires after 180 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
