Description of role:

Everest Global Services is looking for a Finance Analyst to partner with our local and international finance teams and regional CFOs to support Everest's growth and expansion. The Finance Analyst will support the VP and Manager of Finance Transformation in becoming a trusted business partner in implementing and running Oracles reconciliation tool ARC (as system administrator) and assisting teams and countries with accounting, finance, and other support activities.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days onsite, 2 remote in our Warren, NJ office.

Responsibilities:

  • As the system administrator for Oracle's reconciliation tool (ARC) you will be responsible for:
    • the creation of new account reconciliations
    • updating account mappings and matching rules
    • reviewing and solving integration errors
    • manually loading data
    • system maintenance
    • documenting system processes
  • Assist in clean-up of aged data across balance sheet accounts.
  • Improve processes and automation surrounding account reconciliations.
  • Develop strong partnerships with international Business Leaders and Finance Teams, to understand specific business issues and priorities.
  • Drive the end-to-end accounting process, including implementing internal controls as the international business expands.
  • Ability to work with limited direction and take ownership of work product.

Required qualifications:
  • One to three years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including strong to advanced excel skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly in a virtual and office environment is essential.
  • Ability to analyze and understand data as it pertains to specific accounting processes.
  • Strong problem-solver and critical-thinker.
  • Self-motivated, prone to action, autonomous and results oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Work experience with one of the big 7 accounting firms
  • Experience in Insurance industry, processes and systems

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree majoring in accounting and /or finance
