About the Role: Zurich is currently seeking an individual interested in growing their career with our General Liability team. As a General Liability (GL) Claims Analyst, you will work with a diverse team, supporting daily work processes of the GL Line of Business by reviewing data received at claim intake, managing assessment of policy verification and categorize the claim based on severity, complexity type and jurisdiction. You will act as a resource for the GL claims team and serve as a liaison for GL Claims and the Claims Operation. Key Responsibilities: Support daily work processes of the GL LOB by reviewing data received at claim intake and determining if additional information is needed for initial triage. Manage preliminary assessment of policy verification and categorize the claim based on severity, complexity, type, and jurisdiction. Understand and ensure compliance with jurisdictional license requirements. Act as a resource for GL claims teams and serve as liaison for GL Claims and Claims Operations. Responsible for management of databases (data entry, maintenance, and reporting). Understand operational workflows for GL Technical Claims, as well as Claims Operations. Partner with claim professionals and team managers on assignments as needed and provide analysis related to GL claim assignments by Claim segmentation. Conduct research, analysis, and interpretation of claim assignment information at notice of loss. Exercise judgment to determine appropriate claim assignment based on rules, criteria, expertise, and workload balancing. Anticipate customer needs and make decisions in a timely manner. Meet quality standards by following best practices. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims or Operations area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims or Operations area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims or Operations area AND Knowledge of database management Experience with Microsoft Office Experience in customer service Additional Requirements: Business Travel, as required. Extended Hours during Peak Periods, as required. Pass Applicable Exam/Licensing, as required. Regular Predictable Attendance. Visibility in the Office, as required. Preferred Qualifications: Insurance industry experience Experience collaborating across work groups Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships Strong organizational and time management skills Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
