IDR is seeking a GIS Analyst 3 to join one of our top clients in Nashville. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned GIS professional to work on projects primarily for the Fire Department. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the GIS Analyst 3:

- Work with end users to implement Esri configured solutions in Portal and ArcGIS Online
- Conduct use-case analysis of business functions to identify GIS application requirements, technical issues, and training needs
- Communicate with internal and external technical resources to resolve end-user issues
- Use a variety of spatial editing techniques to accurately create and update an array of GIS datasets
- Participate in compatibility testing of application upgrades
- Prepare technical documentation including data specifications, user requirements, and procedures
- Conduct in-house training and tracking progress on system implementation and application projects
This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position, with the possibility of transitioning to the Fire Department after 1.5 years.

Required Skills for GIS Analyst 3:

- Extensive experience with ArcGIS Pro
- Knowledge of configuring ArcGIS Solutions including web apps and dashboards
- Considerable problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Understanding of data, functions, and tasks that the GIS applications will support
- Experience with database design and GIS mapping tasks
- Python scripting, GOIA or deep learning, and experience with indoor mapping are a plus
