GIS Specialist (Summer Intern)

Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is expanding its workforce! We are searching for a proficient GIS Specialist (Summer Intern) to join our growing environmental business line. This is a great opportunity to learn from staff about natural resource and environmental management practices in our industry in addition to GIS and CAD technical opportunities.

This position is in Jacksonville, FL.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Responsible for GIS/CAD mapping/drawing production for ERS natural resource and ASL environmental project needs.
• GPS hardware/software maintenance, support and training of staff will be required.
• Support the existing GIS staff's needs regarding software/hardware deployment, protocols/workflows, support/training of staff, management of data libraries, etc.
• This is a production-oriented position. Most of the responsibilities will reside around the day to day map/figure production needs for the staff.
• Working in the field to assist in field data collection efforts using the Trimble GPS hardware and Field Maps software.
• Other responsibilities will include GPS prep/setup and post-processing data.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of school, training and/or work experience using GIS and/or CAD software products demonstrating thematic map production and basic geospatial analysis.
• Can demonstrate a solid working knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Online software applications and their respective geoprocessing tools.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Trimble GPS products a plus!
• Understanding of the basic fundamentals of working in a geospatial environment and comfortable researching data resources and integrating the results into mapping/analysis needs.

• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, etc.
