We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Head of Physician Relations. This role will be responsible for shaping and executing the company's physician engagement strategy. This role will lead the management and development of relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), professional societies, and advisory boards to drive the adoption of Siemens Healthineers' ultrasound solutions in clinical practice. Reporting to the Head of Interventional Imaging, the Head of Physician Relations will work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop strong partnerships with physicians and societies that shape the future of ultrasound in interventional procedures. This role is crucial for maintaining Siemens Healthineers' leadership position in the ultrasound market by ensuring strong, productive relationships with physicians and key medical societies. The position will be remote.

Your role:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive physician engagement strategy that aligns with Siemens Healthineers' business objectives and product pipeline for ultrasound.

• Serve as the primary liaison between Siemens Healthineers and physician stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of product innovations and clinical insights.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), ensuring their input is integrated into product development, clinical research, and market strategies.

• Collaborate with product management, marketing, and clinical science teams to develop content and resources that support physician education and engagement.

• Lead initiatives to drive physician awareness and adoption of Siemens Healthineers ultrasound technologies, focusing on delivering clinical value and patient outcomes.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant professional societies (e.g., American Society of Echocardiography, European Society of Cardiology) to increase Siemens Healthineers' visibility and influence within the ultrasound and interventional imaging fields.

• Develop partnerships with these societies for events, symposia, and speaking opportunities to position Siemens Healthineers as a leader in ultrasound technology.

• Manage the planning, execution, and follow-up of advisory boards to gather strategic insights from physician leaders on clinical needs, market trends, and innovation.

• Lead Siemens Healthineers' presence at key industry conferences, ensuring strong representation through physician advocacy and engagement.

• Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with KOLs within the ultrasound and interventional imaging space to ensure their involvement in clinical studies, product launches, and advocacy.

• Facilitate KOL participation in research studies, clinical trials, and early product feedback initiatives to help drive product improvements and innovation.

• Oversee the execution of KOL activities, including speaking engagements, participation in webinars, and the creation of educational materials that demonstrate the clinical benefits of Siemens Healthineers' ultrasound technologies.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing strategy team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
Your expertise:

• Strong strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term physician relationships with short-term business needs.

• Ability to manage multiple complex relationships and projects simultaneously.

• Collaborative mindset with a passion for working across cross-functional teams.

• Deep understanding of the clinical and technological landscape in ultrasound and interventional imaging.

Required skills to have for the success in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MD, or PhD) preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in physician engagement, professional society relations, or KOL management, preferably within the medical device or healthcare technology industry.
  • Strong network of relationships with physicians, particularly in interventional cardiology, radiology, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience working with professional societies and managing advisory boards.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute physician engagement strategies that drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • The ability to travel 30-50% of the time and globally required.

The pay range for this position is $200,000 - $240,000 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed. The annual incentive target is 25% of base pay. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
