Job Description
Skilled positions consist of the use of knives, hooks, and wearing proper PPE. All skilled positions include physical work that can be subject to standing at a table/elevated platform for eight hours or more, and/or working on a moving table or chain. The work environment for these positions is subject to be cold, hot, or humid conditions.
You must be willing and able to work on a moving chain or table. Must be willing and able to work in hot and cold environments. Skilled positions require the ability to work with knives and hooks. Essential to this position, includes pushing, lifting, and pulling of weights not to exceed 80 lbs. Use of physical force when pushing, pulling, and lifting. Must be willing to use and properly wear all required PPE along with standing 8 hours a shift.
This position could work in any department of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are involved in all areas. Lifting is involved in many areas (weight depends upon area).
These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces. (Temperature ranges below.)
Jobs include heavy/detailed knife May involve climbing stairs/ladders up to elevated platforms ranging in height.
POSITION SPECIFIC
All positions will be for either A or B Shift.
This facility can run 6 day a week, Monday-Saturday.
All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment.
Requirements
Must have six months prior experience in a meat processing facility
experience in one of the following jobs preferred:
Harvest: 1st legger, 2nd Legger, 1st Butter, 2nd Butter, Low Backer, Head Dropper, gullet Raiser, Gutter.
Processing: Pull Clod, bone Chuck, Bone Arm, Bone Rib, Pull Tenders, Pull 13th Rib, Pull Fingers/Button Bones, Bone Tops, Seam Rounds.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods
Rehires are only eligible to work B shift
