Higher Education IT Project Manager

Our client is a higher education institute in Boston Ma and they are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with experience in Student Information Systems for a 12+ month contract role.

This role requires 3 days a week onsite in Boston with the other 2 remote. We offer Health, Dental and Vision benefits to our contracted employees.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in higher education or with enterprise systems like Workday.
• Strong understanding of student information systems (SIS) and their role in enhancing the student experience.
• Proven experience managing or integrating with Banner ERP systems or similar
• Familiarity with Financial Aid regulations, processes, and systems.
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience managing technical teams and vendors.
• PMP or other relevant project management certification preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Prior experience with Workday Student or other student information systems.
• Familiarity with higher education processes and requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Banner ERP, especially in Financial Aid operations and data management.
