Basic Job Functions:
Vulcraft Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for the Human Resource Manager position. The HR Manager will promote safety, ensure consistency, develop best practices for the area, develop team members, and serve as a resource for the plant in terms of policy administration. The HR Manager is responsible for setting expectations, motivation and the leadership of the HR Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources including, but not limited to, employment, legal/compliance, policy administration, payroll/benefit administration, training and HR systems support.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Business, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Payroll and human resources experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with SAP
- Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Training and presentation experience
