Operations Manager
The Operations Manager oversees the automation department, ensuring employee engagement in designing, installing, and repairing automation equipment. This role includes managing technician schedules, overseeing integration and service projects, and achieving departmental goals aligned with company values.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and hold the automation team accountable.
- Maintain EOS/Traction operations through meetings and goal tracking.
- Promote company Core Values internally and externally.
- Direct project scheduling, provide feedback, and coach technicians.
- Guide troubleshooting, project management, and equipment design.
- Conduct employee evaluations and performance reviews.
- Develop and standardize training to enhance team capabilities.
- Ensure technicians maintain vendor certifications.
- Plan for departmental succession through cross-training.
- Establish company standards for design and documentation.
- Collaborate with Sales to address customer project needs.
- Serve as the primary customer contact for automation projects.
- Forecast and manage the departmental budget.
- Use ERP systems for data analytics to advance the department.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in electrical, computer programming, or automation/robotics.
- 5-7 years of Operations Management experience.
- Experience in project engineering or management for automation.
- Proven track record of successful project implementation.
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
- Background in industrial control programming and mechanical design.
- Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD and SolidWorks preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP software.
- Strong organizational, reasoning, math, and time management skills.
