RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Support Specialist to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing exceptional support to end-users.Key Responsibilities:
  • IT Support Specialist will provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Assist with the deployment and setup of new hardware and software
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems
  • As an IT Support Specialist, you will document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues
  • Conduct user training and create documentation for end-users


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and support
  • Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
