Job Description: GDH is hiring an IT Systems Specialist to work with our client. This role demands direct engagement with accounting systems and necessitates a thorough grounding in accounting principles coupled with strong IT skills, especially in SQL for detailed querying and analyses. The successful candidate will be tasked with gaining a system admin / power user level of expertise with the accounting system, understanding the application infrastructure to master intracite modules of the system, analyzing process flows and business requirements, identifying and addressing access discrepancies, and leading efforts to enhance system functionalities and optimize business processes. Skills Required • A minimum of 3 years in a business systems analyst capacity or similar, with a concentration on accounting or financial systems.
• Demonstrated ability in diagnosing, evaluating, and remedying system and process complications.
• Solid experience in liaising with IT and accounting teams to convert business necessities into technical requisites.
• Ability to Analyze, Reconcile, and Report on Journal entries through application pages and SQL queries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint,etc.).
• Technical writing capability to document system processes, test scripts, project plans, and defect recreation steps.
• Understanding of processes and controls with Budgeting, Account Coding (chart of accounts), Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Vendor Management.
• SQL knowledge should include:
o Basic SQL skill set for analyzing and reporting database information. Ability to understand table hierarchy and design.
o File creation and manipulation through script results or reading incoming file content. o Data analysis skills to manipulate information and produce output from the database in the form of reports or files (text, XML, CSV, etc.).
• Ability to research and resolve system errors with knowledge of the following:
o Understanding web application code behavior (JAVA, HTML, XML).
o Review server and system logging to identify unexpected results (including Linux or SQL logging). o Analyze XML and interface file layout and content for discrepancies.
o Analyze SQL syntax errors or unintended script results.
o Understand application error messages to change user input in a way that clears errors.
• Experience with applications such as:
o File transfer platforms like GoAnywhere.
o Accounting and Procurement web applications.
• Ticket / Task Management systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.). Skills Preferred • SQL knowledge including:
o Stored Procedure / SSIS package creation.
o Experience developing SQL procedures in applications such as Visual Studio
• Experience with applications such as:
o Boomi integration platform is preferred but not required
o CGI Advantage Financial knowledge is preferred but not required.
o Ivalua eProcurement system knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Design, develop, update, and maintain system interfaces through API's (SOAP or REST) or file-driven processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly those encompassing a robust accounting module.
• Experience in system upgrade or migration projects, especially concerning accounting systems.
• ServiceNow Application knowledge for logging and tracking problem tickets.
o Understanding web application code behavior (JAVA, HTML, XML)
o Review server and system logging to identify unexpected results.
o XML and interface file layout and content Experience Required Typically has 2 to 5 years of programming/systems analysis experience. SQL knowledge to analyze, manipulate, and produce output from the database (SQL server is preferred) 3 years experience working with accounting systems and/or accounting concepts. Experience Preferred • CGI Advantage Financial Application or previous experience with accounting web applications.
• Ivalua Procurement software or an understanding of procurement processes.
• SQL knowledge including:
o Stored Procedure / SSIS package creation.

• Experience with applications such as:
