Position Summary:

Setup and troubleshoot machines in the Laserweld area in Cannula . Perform preventative maintenance activities and TPMs as assigned . Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures . Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function . Ability to read and write and converse in English . Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• R esponsible for setup, troubleshooting and repair of equipment in the Laserweld area
• Use basic hand tools (allen wrenches, files, side cutters, crescent wrenches, etc.)
• Use macroscope, microscope, calipers, laser rotation, and other test eqipment to perform QC reqirements
• B e familiar with specifications and documentation as outlined in Quality Control Specifications, blueprints , PM and GMP manuals which pertain to this operation
• C omply with department protective clothing, safety and management policies
• Be available to report to work during off shift hours to aid in machine repair or set-up as required.
• Train others as requested
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education :

• High School diploma/GED required

Experience:

• None required
• Previous mechanical experience preferred
• Previous experience with MES preferred
• Previous experience with precision measuring instruments preferred
• Previous experience with BD inspection methods and documentation preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Safety conscious and work safely, especially when handling tubing and cut cannula - Proficient
• Ability to work with minimal supervision - Proficient
• Ability to work in a team environment - Proficient
• Mechanical skills - Proficient
• Problem solving skills - Proficient
• Written and verbal communication - Proficient
