Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Lead Group Facilitator in the Proteus program at Behavioral Health Network!

This position would be working within the greater Springfield, Ware, and Northampton, MA areas.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Proteus program with the following:

• Conducting at least 3 groups a week in accordance with state and agency standards.
• Educating adults in the ways that domestic violence manifests in a relationship, and the roots, values, attitudes, and beliefs that drive it.
• Educating those who abuse others and leading them to reflect on their role in changing their behavior.
• Preparing and debriefing weekly facilitation plan.
• Preparing and organizing facilitation spaces where applicable.
• Entering reporting & data consistently and accurately into appropriate record keeping systems.
• Communicating with Court and/or State officials, as required.
• Conducting partner contacts, as needed.
• Representing Proteus at public functions.

Who are we?

The Proteus program at Behavioral Health Network is a Springfield-based, culturally specific Proteus Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program for African American and Latino men who are committed to becoming safe and accountable relationship partners . Individuals within the program meet for two hours weekly to change their beliefs and attitudes regarding domestic violence for the better.

What are we looking for in a Lead Group Facilitator?

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required ).
• Experience facilitating IPAEP groups (preferred).
• Skilled in cultural competence, compassion & dependability.
• Skilled in listening and written & verbal communication.
• Ability to prepare activities for the group that follow recommended curricula and actively engage the participants
• Ability to consistently hold individuals accountable to honor the group and each person in it.
