Description
The Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago seeks qualified applicants for part-time lecturers to teach in its Social Sector Leadership and Nonprofit Management (SSL) Master's Degree Program.
We are looking to fill part-time lecturer positions for a variety of courses and topics related to social sector leadership, including:
- Nonprofit finance
- Fundraising and philanthropy
- Social entrepreneurship and system change
- Nonprofit operations and management
- Impact measurement & evaluation
- Public sector leadership
- Leading through change
- Social sector strategy
- Social sector Lab

Courses are offered either in daytime or evening; in either fall, winter or spring terms. (Courses are 9 weeks, once/week for 2 hrs, 50 mins)
The position is part of the Service Employees International Union Local 73. Part-time lecturers may teach up to three courses during the regular portion of the school year. The position is not benefits-eligible.
The compensation for this position is $8,500 per course taught.
The School offers master's degrees in social work and social sector leadership, a Ph.D., and leads an undergraduate minor in social inequality, social problems, and social change.
Qualifications All candidates must possess a graduate-level degree and/or experience relevant to the teaching area. Specifically, experience with either teaching, facilitation, or presenting.
