A national plaintiff's law firm that focuses exclusively on representing victims of mesothelioma and their claims is hiring for a Legal Investigator. With offices across the country and rapidly growing teams, we are dedicated to maximizing the recovery of our deserving clients.
What we're looking for: Our St. Louis, Missouri office is seeking to hire an investigator to support the Bankruptcy/Trust Claims department by interviewing clients, drafting documents, and other duties. We are looking for energetic, driven, detail-oriented people for this on-site position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Interviewing clients about their work history and exposure to asbestos;
• Locate and interview witnesses;
• Research clients' work history and work sites to determine product and exposure and how they correlate to the work function;
• Extensive research and drafting affidavits;
• Attend and perform document reviews to identify relevant and useful documents;
• Frequent travel to clients' homes.
Skills desired:
• Ability to work under pressure due to time and content sensitive deadlines;
• Strong computer skills;
• Experience with legal research and interview skills and techniques is preferred;
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to establish and foster working relationships with attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and legal assistants;
• Detail oriented with the ability to analyze and problem solve;
• Ability to put clients at ease and establish a trusting and comfortable relationship.
Experience preferred:
• Prior work experience in construction, automotive, industrial, shipbuilding, or similar trade profession is preferred.
