JOB DESCRIPTION

Come join a team of engaged team members who work to make our member-borrowers and each other's dreams come true. Farm Credit of the Virginias is seeking to hire a loan accountant in its' Verona, VA Operations.

The loan accountant works in partnership with the Capital Markets sales team along with external Capital Markets groups at AgFirst Farm Credit Bank and other system institutions to provide comprehensive quality support throughout the finance and lending processes. This position will support branch teams by servicing and reconciling the loan accounting systems (ACBS, DNA, etc.), input/verifies account critical maintenance requests, along with performing other finance department activities as assigned by the CFO and/or Controller.

Required Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent experience.
• Two years of work experience in lending, finance or related fields.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency and familiarity with financial databases and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers.
• Ability to initiate, organize and prioritize work and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with demonstrated ability to learn new technology.
• Ability to work independently, excellent problem-solving & time management skills

Salary Range: $44,600-$64,100 plus incentive opportunities
