Machine Operator- Full Time- New London, WI 54961

We offer advancement opportunities and steady work. This facility operates five days a week with potential for overtime and produces smoked sausage and hot dogs.

Starting Pay up to $20.20* per hour

With a $1.00 increase at 6 months and another $1.00 increase at one (1) year. The hourly rate at one (1) year is up to $24.30* per hour with yearly increases.

*Varies depending on position and grade level

Shift Differential of $1.00 for 2nd and 3rd shifts

Work Shift: Monday-Friday

1st Shift: 5:00AM-DONE (weekends and overtime as needed)

2nd Shift: 1:00PM-DONE (weekends and overtime as needed)

3rd Shift: 10:00PM-DONE (weekends and overtime as needed)

Position Description:

Applicants will be considered for any open machine operating position on the shift designated in the posting, such as day, evening or night shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The positions consist of operating packaging machines, grinders or stuffers and may include tow motors.
• The setup and tear down or clean equipment i.e., packaging machines, grinders or stuffers
• This position may count, weigh or document product counts and or times
• Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
• Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable. May use SAP if transferred/rotated

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, fractions, etc.)
• Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
• Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently
• Ability to flex/grip with wrist/hands occasionally
• Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently
• Must be able to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures in a damp environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Machine Operator experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• RF Scanner experience preferred
• The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  

Must have 3 months of work history with the same employer

* This Tyson Foods location has a hiring criteria term period of 90 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment
