Description: Job Description: Maintenance Technician - Food Manufacturing

Job Duties:

• Ensure food safety and legality.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machinery.
• Identify and fix electrical issues using DMM.
• Follow and write lockout/tagout procedures.
• Inform production of maintenance schedules and perform necessary repairs.
• Check inventory and report needed parts.
• Lubricate and maintain equipment with correct lubricants.
• Program VFDs on conveyor systems.
• Troubleshoot relays, switches, and motors.
• Handle maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and processes.
• Work independently on advanced projects.
• Prioritize production calls.
• Promote teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure GMP and OSHA standards are met.
• Work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Provide training and support daily operations.
• Follow safety and GMP procedures.
• Minimize production downtime by quickly repairing equipment.
• Communicate repair needs to maintenance leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of maintenance technician experience.
• Strong mechanical and maintenance background.
• Familiarity with shop equipment (lathes, mills, welders) is a plus.
• Proficiency with electrical systems preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, scissor, and aerial lifts safely.
• Advanced mathematical skills.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Exceptional attendance record.
• Ability to stand for 8-12 hours and lift 35-50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures (45-95°F)
