POSITION TITLE: Manager, Capital Markets Trading
Position Summary:
The Capital Markets Manager role will support traders in all aspects of pricing & rate sheet generation within the Capital Markets Trading team. Products include Government, Agency, and Non-QM loans; as well as Government and Agency MBS/ HMBS. The person in this position will be expected to contribute with idea generation, pricing and model enhancement, and data analytics that supports trade activity. The ideal candidate will eventually be a key contributor with new investment ideas and strategies to optimize revenue.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Review daily reports, including the active pipeline, hedges, and associated reports such as the P&L attribution
- Identify data issues or areas of concern that require further investigation and escalate/ remedy as required
- Enhance pricing and trading processes that impact pricing and rate sheets across multiple channels; as well as, Cash/ TBA best execution and optimization
- Support Trading team in updating the risk management system used to value loans, MSRs and securities
- Develop robust and comprehensive data analytics that support Capital Markets business plan and operations
- Maximize revenue through oversight of the specified loan and high balance strategies
- Development of presentation materials to convey key elements of internal strategies and initiatives
- Support product development activities as needed
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; preferred focus in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics
- 2-5 years of experience in secondary marketing, trading, and/or capital markets
- Knowledge of Compass, MIAC, QRM, or other pipeline risk management systems strongly preferred
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to interface confidently with internal/external parties
- Advanced excel and data analysis experience required; programming and Power BI preferred
- Demonstrated and proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to balance critical thinking/ independent problem solving with escalation when appropriate
Training / Licensing Requirements: - Must pass the Company's Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
