Job Summary
The Mold Setter is responsible for the installation, removal, and upkeep of the molds and mold components used in the manufacturing process of plastic parts.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect molds and components for damage
- Report damage to the Production Manager; repair minor damage and replace parts, as needed
- Use overhead crane, tow motor, and various power tools to remove molds and components from machine
- Clean molds and components and transport them to and from mold storage area
- Install and replace hydraulic and water lines of each press as needed
- Follow all safety rules
- Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- Installation of any ancillary equipment related to mold set
Job Requirements - Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of hydraulics and limit switches
- Experience using basic hand and power tools
- Injection molding experience a plus
- Mold setting experience a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout the day
